Multi-Media Journalism...

Background:

Recently a transfer student to Arizona State University, my background is multi-facetted from working with artists to mortgage brokers. My objectives are to develop a multimedia presence associated to documenting and exploring local business, sustainability, diversity and community edification.

With intent to primarily work for progressive and compassionate companies, my resume and experiences have since evolved from working in the banking industry to running an art studio and assisting in promotional events for the local roller derby. Moving forward in journalism, I hope to utilize these collective experiences toward internships and occupations involving videography, editing, photojournalism and operational technologies.

Exploring Documentation:

Recently introduced to online media, my presence is growing in association to exploring dynamic subcultures or features involving the expansive possibilities in the human experience. I'm hoping to network with professionals in connection to those who share similar interests in alternative life-styles, urban development, music subculture, DIY advocacy, local business, cycling, permaculture, sustainability, holistic cooking, arts or anthropology.

Admiration:

Before attending college, Bitch magazine, Time, Juxtapoz and Adbusters were the most musing national publications I tended to indulge and purchase. Enthusiastic for the cultural emergence of web 2.0, I found myself drawn towards a news constructed education passionate about the fundementals of how to mediate and orchestrate, visual and virtual technologies of communication.

Maintaining a prevalent curiosity in media, I focus on incorporating into my projects credibility transfused from the reporting bloodline of my educational background.

I'm currently completing my bachelor's degree at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism studying online media, videography, print, photography and broadcast news reporting.
